I ran Sandra and it reports my CPU is running at 16xxmhz (I can't rmeber exactly what it was since I am at work right now) and when I go to properties on my computer it says it is running at 1.81ghz and the MAD site says it is sapposed to run at 1.81ghz also testing my cpu in Sandra it did just as well as the other 3000+ processors did. So is it really running at 1.6ghz or what?

download cpu-z if that doesnt say 1800, go into the bios, and make sure your cpu multiplier is at 9.

Sorry I have a couple threads going in other forums and thought I had said what mobo I have. It is a GA-K8NSC-939, I am at work still so I have not used CPU-Z and I don't know if I have cool n quiet on, to tell you the truth I don't really know what that is.

cool'n'quiet is a feature that reduces clockspeeds to reduce heat and save electricity, I thought that the default settings for it was OFF, try CPU-Z and see if it reads the multiplier

you can try optimized defaults in the bios if its not reading the multiplier as 9x

just run CPU-z and come back to us with what it states, you dont have to configure it just double click and read the speed in which it is working at

I think to access the multiplier in newer gigabyte bios's you have to hit CONTOL + F1 , or some combination like that (try F2, and F3 if F1 doesn't work). The screen should flash and you will gain access to many more memory features in the area where they are located, along with numerous other features.

Yah it is control F1 and all I found was Fid Control or something and the highest was "x9 1800mhz" but I want to go further than that.

CPU-Z says everything is ok but my memory frequency is 164 when it is sapposed to be 200, can I do anything about that?

can you take a screenshot of the front page of cpu-z (press print scr and copy to paint, save as jpeg), the readings you should be getting roughly:
Core Speed 1800 MHz (it will off a little)
Multiplier x9.0
HTT 200 MHz

ctrl f1, advanced chipset properties Disable SPD control set to 200.

Athlon 64's are upward multi locked so you can't go above 9x with a 3000+ venice. You can only raise the HTT.
