What a game I snagged it for $15 from EB the other day, haven't been able to put it down, such a fun game if you have the patience for it. Anyone else here still play it or is still a fan of the game? I used to play it back in highschool, but forgot how great it was for a while...

The official strategy guide for that game was the best guide ever..

It was worth the 10 bucks for the appendix in the back which gave detailed descriptions of all the job classes... it's how I trained up my super army of dragoon ninjas.

Strategy guides are teh suck, I like figuring out all parts of a game for myself!

The game is classic, the only downside is the horrendous loading times, I really wish they would remake it with better graphics and way less loading time, or they should put it on computer.

Well, I never used the strategy guide to play any of the missions.. just as a reference for the huge job class system that game had.

Would have been next to impossible otherwise to figure it out!

Yeah, finding out how to get certain jobs (especially higher up in the rankings) can be tough

I really wish Square would plan out a sequel (the one on GB Advance just doesn't cut it) for PS2 with the same battle system, I'd be forever grateful for that

You can always just do what I did to find the extra jobs.....max out all of the jobs you currently have.

I played FFT on ePSXe recently. Excellent, although the emulator fully emulates the waiting times too (I know my PC can do it faster).

I hope they add the manual frame skip like there is in ZSNES.

Loom was one of the original SCUMM games from Lucasarts. You played a novice cleric who could cast spells by playing them as music. Very innovative and entertaining. I've been waiting for a sequel for...about 10 years now, and I'm not giving up hope.

Loom rocks.

edit: dont give up hope on a sequel...although im sure lucas would rather make 1000 crappy star wars games they know people will buy then risk it on a good, original <gasp> adventure game.

i recently went back and played Loom on the hardest setting. i thought it would be easier since i was older and had a better ear for music.
oy.

Hmm, I have this game, but I've never played it. I never even put it in the PSX, it just sits there unplayed. I ought to give it a shot.

I remember having an army of dancers .. forgot what their dancing did though.

Status ailments/damage to enemies.

My ninjas had Teleport II though, so they r0x0r3d everything. Plus I had Olan on my team.

There is a 'sequel' although Square didn't create or publish it; the name is Disgaea.

Loom was an incredible game. I remember playing through it so many times and never losing interest. It still has one of the best storylines in any game I've played.

They don't make adventure games like they used to

I got so far into the PSX version and got to a point where it was impossible to beat. I tried to level up but the enemies kept getting stronger and couldn't win so I put it away and haven't touched it since, my friend gave me his FFTA for GBA and I started to play it but remembered what happened so I put it away and started playing Super Mario Advance 4
