LOL! I'm just trying to stop buyers remorse!
I'll share my Hot Deal from last November when I got mine...
BB....had the previous week ad and a Internet price for the Phillips 55" 16x9 HDTV ($2199 at the time).....I asked if they PM'd, they said yes... $200 off right there. Asked if I could get last weeks $100 GC with any HDTV purchase, He offered $100 off instead. Said I wanted the 24 month no interest finacing from previous week,...ok. (since paid off) Wanted the Free Delivery from that ad. Ok. Wanted the free Leather Recliner and Ottoman from that ad. Ok. Added the BB ext warranty (only one that covers Bulb replacement..at $100+ a pop and 2 year life, worth getting 4 yr Ext warranty. $200 I think)
Had 2 Philips rebates, 1) Free LX3500 HTB (Dolby 5.1 and DTS, Progressive Scan DVD player, ok speakers and sub..$350 retail) 2) $80 after 4 DVD purchases.
The TV is on 5am till 11pm+ 7 days a week since then. Got 900 Channels from Cox....DTV and so far HD for CBS/NBC/ESPN/DISC/HBO/SHO with many more to come.
You can get the 60" now for that price. Review of it in Sound and Vision Magazine 2 months ago..did very well.
Never base you decision on what you see on the sales floor. Every TV sold is too bright...that is for showroom "Wow!". But you miss delicate detail in shadows and more. Every TV should be tuned up with one of the DVD's from AVIA or the others. The TV's on the showroom floor are unpacked and turned on 12+ hours a day with no tuneup. The best looking one is usually the more recent one to be unpacked. Do your research and buy with knowledge. Great place to learn:
