How do i get them to match at&t's plan? do i have to tell them i want to cancel? (just worried that if they don't offer to match the plan and actually cancel my plan, goodguys will charge me $200 for the phone which i can't return because i sent the rebates already)
when i called, i mentioned something about canceling and whether they would match the plan, but they kept rambling about how good their service was compared to at&t's and that their plan were better because the mins rolled over. for someone that doesn't argue very well, is there any way i could still get this deal?
Well it depends on the rep you get some are nicer than others. But when I did it, I started by posing the question of if there was a period that new subscribers could cancel their contracts. and the rep told me that their was was the 15 day period and then asked my why I wanted to cancel and then I mentioned the att plan. And that's when the rep told me about cingulars 39.99 plan and asked if I'd like that one and I then told him it cost too much and that's when I asked if cingular could match att's plan and the rep quickly agreed. so Nemesis81, I'd say try again with a different rep, and if they hold firm against pricematching just say you want to take a day to think about when they prompt you to cancel, and then hang up and try again. Oh and on a side note, I used to be an att user in No. Cal. I quit because a rep gave me misinformation on their long distance charges and I ran up a large bill in Vegas and I really want this phone, but anyhow ATT's service is way better than cingular's in terms of coverage and network congestion. With ATT there are few no service areas compared to cingular. If you too are No. Cal. and the rep tells you that cingulars serivce is better they are full of it, just tell them you know people with ATT and they are much better or say you were a former user...if you do that they'll back off on the point of their serivce being better. Hope this helps.
