People who don't understand how CC's can be useful and how they are extra protection. I only use my debit card to buy stuff if I'm

1) nowhere near my bank's ATM
2) completley out of cash

In that case I will charge at a large chain store, use the pin-pad and get cash back.

Do we really need a separate thread for each little event in your life? That's why they made weblogs.

How about people that spend their money responsibly and don't carry cash? Wow, didn't think it was that difficult of a concept to grasp.

Well if they spend their money responsibly, why not use a CC to get perks?

Because not everyone wastes time tracking down cards with the best perks? Spending money responsibly != spending money on cards with perks.

Or you just don't spend money you don't have. There are ways to use credit cards responsibly.

For a poor student like me, I liek to stick to my check card. It makes me penny-pinch the hell otu of everything

I use CC's, but for my phone..basically expected expenses.

That's funny, I've been using CC since I was 17, never overcharged, never missed a payment, and collected a ton of cash backs. How do you not use AMEX for its extended warranty feature? How about the 5% cash back for gas? 3% for eating out? My debit card = ATM card.

Anyone ever actually utilized an AMEX extended warranty? Seems like a great idea... but is it a pain in the ass to get them to honor it?

Yes. And no, it's super easy to claim your extended warranty. Just have your receipt w/ the AMEX number ready and you're set.
