Just got my Glasses perscription

So am I blind? And can anyone interpet this for me? (btw Yes that is 024 and 157 no period I wondered if it was a typo but I dont think it is)

People who go to the doctor and pay good money for his expert medical advice/treatment, but don't ask him to explain what he means, and then decide to have random people on the internet give thier best guess instead are annoying idiots.

you're not blind .. I'm -8.50 in both eyes .. 20/20 with contacts.

Hopefully won't need glasses for years. Both my parents were 50 before they needed them.

Man, notfred you need to calm down, I did not know exactly what each number ment about my eyes, but I do know that I have Astigmatisim and that I am far sighted. I also know that current lasik surgury is out of the question for me and that possible contact implantation under my eyes would be a posible fix in the future. Mostly I posted this thread to see what people knew about eye perscriptions and to pull out some other peoples perscriptions for comparison.

Yes I need these glasses for reading, heck even seeing anything else but basic shapes.

My vision is like +.25 0.00 in both eyes.
