Iwill certainly has a nice package, I'm now looking for a processor to use with this board hopeing to find a certified 133mhz fsb TBIRD, anyone got the hookup on them.

Yes it use's the ALI Magik DDR chipset and I dont know how it runs yet like I said I dont have an athlon


I'm just about to buy a Tbird 700 and overclock it to 133mhz fsb 1ghz untill I can find a 133mhz fsb 1.2ghz tbird or a palmino whichever comes first.

Does anyone have the stats on overclocking the 700tbird on 133mhz fsb.

I assume this is the retail version, I really need to know if it has the capability to change the cpu and/or io voltage?

chances of getting a 700 to 1g are slim without voltage changes, a better bet would be get a higher mhz t-bird, then change the multiplyer 7 and use 133

or just buy a current 1.2ghz tbird, change the multiplyer to 9.0x and run it with the 133mhz FSB

yes it is a retail version but it doesnt have voltage changes. I assuming it might need an upgraded bios or something to get that working

Why did you elect to go with an Ali chipset board rather than an AMD or Via chipset?

I got the KA266-R board last week, and sofar loaded WIN NT, WIN 2K and ME on two IBM GXP drives using RAID mirroring.

I am using a Duron 600 with voltage set to 1.8V (using pencil trick of L7).

Here are some Sandra 2001 numbers:

Mhz FSB ALU FPU
864 133 550 747
930 142 565 790
956 146 crashed at boot

Very stable board.

To tell you the truth thats part of the reason I got stuck on socket7 because I was waiting for ali to release a chipset for the athlon and to top it off ali and IWILL what a great combo.

and AMD is not a chipset maker so they are just going to have basic features on their chipsets.
