We would be fine if you didn't make 30 posts about the board. Just make 2-3 posts and be done with it.

Last night i got the 700tbird to 866mhz on 133fsb using the standard voltage settings I took some benches
sisoft sadra 2001

579/747

these are not too bad considering they are quite a bit higher than all the benches on the net are on 1.2ghz systems.

<< Seems as though the stuff ain't living up to the hype and it costs much more than dirt cheap PC133 memory now. Same thing happened with RDRAM in '99 (but it was a bit higher).

After reading Anand's KT133A review, it seems that a bulk of the DDR SDRAM "advantage" was coming from the 266MHz FSB on the Athlon and not the PC2100 DDR SDRAM. And we won't see a real advantage until programs begin to use the extra bandwidth (haven't seen any yet with the exception of synthetic benchmarks).

I feel like I was sucked into the DDR SDRAM hype and if I were to buy a system in the coming months, you can be sure that it will be KT133A + dirt cheap PC133.
>>

You would think that it would be you that would be most interested in finding out this information. Expecially since you think the advantages are all hype. Like I said it's not all hype the articles leading you to beilive that it were hype are useing information that was based upon a non retail very early rev board from before nov29. And i'm just trying to show everyone that it's not hype the DDR-SDRAM and ALI chipsets is good. Not like INTEL/Rambus screwup's.

BTW, what makes you think your beloved IWill is so superior to anything anyone else has?

FYI:

My P4 1.5GHz System:

Memory
1523
1567

Sandra Scores

Unless you can top that or even come close, I suggest you discontinue you irritating nonsense!

I never said It was supperior to anything anyone else had just supperior to any other platform for the ATHLON processors.

The architecture for the P4 is some area are remarkably fast but other areas are dead ass slow. So who the hell cares how fast the p4 memory subsystem benchmarks are.

<< Not like INTEL/Rambus screwup's. >>

That?s suggesting superiority, and you?re dissing other peoples hardware and it gets very irritating.

Who the hell cares how fast your DDR system is? Wait, let me answer that for you, you do obviously you posted your numbers for everyone to see. So you care!

Also seeing that your DDR scores are not even half as fast as my P4 memory scores I'll go as far as to say in the area of system memory DDR is dead slow. Though I would not suggest this to anyone else, just you!

Great so you can answer your own question. Can you count to five for me too?

Now answer my question.

<< Im not dissing anyones hardware. Just dissing intel's marketing scheme. >>

Marketing scheme, what marketing scheme? Are they fraudulently trying to steel money from you? Everyone company has a marketing strategy , welcome to the real world!

<< system memory DDR is dead slow >>

As for that the memory subsystem Includes the following RAM/CACHE/PROCESSOR/chipset/

and knowing this you say thats its the DDRsdram with 2.1gb/s bandwidth that is slow.
I think not my friend.

The athlon/pentium3 processors were not developed with high bandwidth memmory in mind so they cannot fully use the potential that the memory has.

on the other hand the P4 was and it does use the potential that rambus has.

and that is why you see the difference.

the p4 has an excellent memory subsystem. Howerever its the rest of the p4 architecture is not on par with the memory subsystem and that is why i say who care's what the p4 memmory subsystem benches.

I will agree with you that the athlon doesnt have the greatest memmory subsystem. And that is the exact reason why You need to use the best platform for the Athlon to overcome the shortcomings of the athlon processor.

INless of course you would like to take out a second loan on your house and get a P4!
