Just got my new Antec case

Nice.

My 282 now has the PIII500 leaving the 1.1GHz Tbird with the new, roomy one. The 4 fans plus the HD cooler, pci blower and teh Delta make one hell of a racket.

Vacum cleaner sound.

Case temps about the same but the cpu reads 1C lower.

Just curious, what motherboard do you have to go with that 1.1 ghz thunderbird? I have the SX830 also and waiting for my Iwill KK266-R motherboard and 800 thunderbird to come in. Wondering if the I/O panel on the back will work or do I need to contact Antec suport and get diffrent one?

MSI Pro2. This one has the built in soundcard etc and the antec has all the i/o you'll ever need.

The I/O plate on the back of SX830 is pretty cheaply made. If you call Antec they will send you a heavy duty replacement for it.

funny... I thought that the sx830 and my 1030 were pretty much the same internally... the I/O plate on the back of mine is pretty sturdy-doesn't seem cheap at all.. oh well.

mine sounds like a vacuum or tiny turbine too haha.. I'd replace all my fans with panaflows if I cared. hopefully I'll be picking up an enermax 330w at the show march 4th... that baby should suit my needs perfectly.

oh yeah, and it dropped my temps by about 10C I thought it was not only fantastic, it was PIMPtastic

I bought it from Bestbuy for 99. I believe you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
It has the Antec 300W PS.

It now runs with the Sanyo Denki.
In my enthusiasm I burnt out the fan header and so am able to run the Sanyo from the fan2 connector. Oddly it runs at 3900.
