BTW, flip phones do not necessarily have worse reception than non-flip phones. Remember the digital Motorola Startac? That phone had the best damned reception than any other phone.

The 6680 is a bit on the expensive side with 2 cameras, the 6682 I like though.

The i730 IS GARBAGE! The Wifi on that is absolutely horrible as is the battery life. It also has a tendency to crash often.

But the Wifi never worked.

On hte good side, the web browsing using 1x was pretty decent and hte screen itself wasn't too bad. The keyboard wasn't very comfortable though.

As for antennas, a lot of matters on the casing. In a flip phone, you don't have a lot of space to keep the antenna shielding (since hte flipping mechanism would eat up space).

I don't use the Wifi so I cannot comment on that. Otherwise its great. I love the EvDo. Mine never crashes and I have a ton of stuff on it. I love the keyboard too.

The Razr is junk, just a rebadged V600, I don't know what the big deal is with those, and people are still paying fo rthem, I thought they were free. I guess just in NY. I bought the new Samsung T809, I wouldn't recommend that because of the short battery life, and should have bought the D600 instead for 50 bucks more.

Hmm... unannounced, eh?

I actually have an SLVR. Not branded for Cingular or anything, but working really well as a replacement for my previously destroyed phone (and avoiding of Cingular's full-price fun lineup as I'm not yet to my upgrade eligibility).

Works well, good reception, really light and attractive, and the build quality is awful impressive (reveals, etc.). Don't care about the camera/video camera, just want a good looking phone with no flip.

My cousin has a SLVR. On another note, it's funny how the XDA is just coming out here, but it's already been out in China/Hong Kong for a while. I've actually played around for it.

I got my razr free. What phones out there offer more features for the same price? What more features would you need out of a PHONE?

PS that sales guy is an idiot. Clearly the phone is not un-announced, and a non filp phone does not get better reception.
