I doubt there is much nude swimming in Boy Scouts any more. But I've been to plenty of nude beaches, including some with kids at them, and people aren't just banging each other's brains out because they can't control themselves. Really, if you ever attempted it, going to a nudist beach the whole "Holy shit! That chick is naked and hot!" wears off in a few minutes and you move on with life.

You've had an awesome experience then! My experience at nude beaches (California) has been more like, "Oh look, another overweight middle-aged man."

Fringe groups are the manifestation of broader social undercurrents. It's not really a thing for me. I find the hierarchy of some social justice causes amusing, and the contradictions they sometimes inevitably create. TERF may be a fringe group, but how 2nd wave feminists generally feel about transgenderism is more hostile than welcoming.
