just inhereted a bass guitar, what's some good bass lines?

So my roommate had an old bass that he wanted to get rid of, which I took. I've been playing guitar for a long time, so I'm not starting from scratch. I just wanted some ideas for solid starting songs to get my technique down. Many songs have really boring/easy on bass so I'm looking for more inventive stuff. Sort of like Flea style but not that difficult. I'm not ready for that yet

One of my faves of all time (Green Eyed Lady) just wait until it kicks inn at 0:44. Kickass!

Another one (Melvins) kicks in at 0:17. So easy to play, but super satisfying for me.

Yes they do and I'm not much of a Rage Against the Machine fan but they have some pretty cool bass lines as well.

I agree Flea is an excellent choice, and a badass. I'm not that good though. I mean there are some songs where Flea doesn't go nuts, like Snow, but mostly he's tearing it up.
