I have no problem killing a mouse with a trap.

i am against the glue traps though. that just seems like torture to me.

No reason to make any animal suffer unless you're a sick fuck. A regular mouse trap wiill kill them quickly. No mess, no fuss.

Why people use glue traps is beyond me. Unless you enjoy bashing rodents to death with soda cans. Nasty.

Nobody gives tinker's damn about mice. I would kill to have enough free time that I felt the need to waste time caring about such a trivial concept as what is the best death for a mouse.

You keep on saying this, but this thread says otherwise.

I don't think death and suffering is ever a trivial concept, but each to their own. You probably "waste your time" on many trivial concepts during everyday life anyway, so triviality is really a moot point.

Holy shit.
I just read this whole fucking thread and not ONE GOD DAMN PERSON asked the most important question:
"Was this mouse messing with his A/C?"

I am no fan of inflicting unnecessary pain and suffering, but I must admit that "animal rights" is rather low on my agenda.

Glue traps work better than snap traps and, depending on the size, can catch multiple varmints in one use.

I only use glue traps and don't give a fairy's fart for what you crying hippys think.

Same here. I've killed my fair share of mice but I try to be reasonably quick and clean about it. Snap traps or electric traps are the way to go.

BTW, electric traps are not cruel, they hit the mouse with a big enough jolt that it dies pretty much instantly. I even had an electric rat trap once that zapped a rat hard enough to physically throw it out of the trap. Unfortunately another rat proceeded to die in the trap during the summer, and then started to decay in the heat. The semi-liquefied rat resulted in a ruined trap.

dude you are REALLY trying too hard to be 'the man' here. First you say therapy is for women only, then any real man that could grow a beard should, and now little Miss Mouse Killer.

You da man now dawg!

Probably some pencil necked 15 year old on his mom's dell or a fat fuck living at home in his 30's. You cannot possibly be a 'real man' being such a bitch.

Did your therapist suggest you confront me in this fashion or do you have enough free will to make that choice for yourself?

I'm sure vermin everywhere will thank you for taking up their defense.

rats are disease ridden vermin
my objection to glue traps is that they require lame dispatch of animal after its been trapped for quite a while, generally unnecessary trouble for vermin and yourself. be a man, use a snap trap. quick, fast and deadly. job done.

im of the snap trap mindset as well, my exwife thought they were barbaic. she bought glue traps when our house got infested (neighbors moved and had mice). the first time we found one in the glue trap she told me to get rid of it, it was staring at her. LOL. i told her the traps she chose werent barbaric, and she had to kill it. of course that didnt end well, her in our room crying while i killed the ah heck and tossed the trap. she ended up buying me the snap traps and throwing the rest of the glue traps away haha. the following week, i killed 2 nests of mice in one night. snap traps, hammer, boots and a blow gun. took about 4 hours to track them all and smite them with prejudice.

They really don't. Sometimes the glue isn't strong enough, dust and temperature can render it ineffective, etc.

And I hope karma sorts you out.

inhumane...mice aren't humans so...yeah...whats the problem again?

The problem is the unnecessary torture.

Haha, wow.

Of course it's barbaric. They're designed to starve the animals to death, all while they are alive - being in fear and literally ripping themselves into pieces trying to get off. And half drowned in their own piss because they can't move.

If you don't think this is barbaric treatment, you're mentally retarded.

And the last option of the poll is irrelevant to the question. There are bigger problems than MOST things we bitch about. To use a good example, if someone were to murder a family member, would the fact that there is war going on in the middle east, and starving children in Africa make it any more or less worse? Not at all.

It makes them feel hard when in real life they are constantly picked on and slighted.

I'd rather have the spring trap kill the animal out right and be done with it. Easier to clean up.
