If you want something this early on, of course you will suffer a price gouge. I expect prices will quickly settle down to where they should be "only 20 boxes" is 15 -17 more boxes of availability than X1800XT had at its launch.

Didn't that shop do the same with 7800gtx 256MB ? selling it before the launch... ANyways I want to see the benchmarking and overclocking ablities . So one of you Nvidia fan go buy one now and let me know by posting the result & your finding !

I don't see why would many store would want to reduce the price if the 7800gtx 512MB are limited on purpose if the rumors are true. I can so see Nvidia fanboy buying it @ $700ish just to have one.

I'd think that you'd be guaranteed to hit 620. Maybe it can be pushed to 650.

Nice core, little lower on the memory speed. XFX overclocks a lot of their cards, wonder if this is the overclocked version, or if there will be a higher one coming out. Either way, sure to be a fast card, not worth $800 though. Hopefully prices will drop when its officially announced, and if supply is good enough.

I guess now we're seeing why my reply to the email with specs for this card was "Are you sure that's not a typo?" and why I posted that no one will be considering X1800XTs when this card launches?

I'm still not going to comment on MSRP or expected street, but I'll reiterate $600 X1800XTs are going to look like a very bad deal very shortly.

Rollo you're assuming that the XT isn't going to drop from $600 (wrongly IMHO) your also assuming that the 512MB GTX is going to be at MSRP or below (NDA or no unless you have a cystal ball none of us know that).
