Now, with this respun G70 core, It would seem XFX at least has 580MHz worth of confidence in it and backs it with lifetime.
This is funny. You've so thoroughly convinced yourself that it's a respun core that you now state it as fact even though there's been absolutely ZERO confirmation of this. This is how misinformation starts.
Meanwhile, ATI reduces their 3 year to a 1 year warranty and expect board partners to be the ones to offer more. Whatever. I think we should lookout for HIS cards for the highest warrantied o/c on a ATI card. They usually offered the highest clocked ATI cards with there own cooling.
By your logic then, Nvidia must have even less confidence in their product since hey don't even sell any cards with their own name on the box. They unload all the warranty worries onto their partners.
BTW, it's pretty easy for these companies like XFX to hand out these unbelievable warranties but let's see what happens when they have to start backing a lot of them up. Let's see what happens down the road when unscrupulous people start taking advantage, as always happens. A company like XFX can easily fold up shop if they need to, and then what good is your lifetime warranty? We've seen it before with companies selling Nvidia cards. Your "lifetime" warranty is only good for the lifetime of the company that issued it.
