I'm looking forward to something better than this HP Pavilion 4533 @450mhz of raging fury...some day. How much would it cost me to build...have someone build and send, this machine:


800+mhz, AMD all the way. I'd like to overclock to 1+ghz
not much into Mobo's..pick a cheap but efficient one
10gig 7200 hdd, if the mobo has ata100, get ata 100. I'm also going to be looking for a 80+ gig
256mb ram, ddr or sdram
dvd drive
some better graphics card, better than a voodoo 3 3000 pci
100/10 baseT nic
regular floppy drive
fantastic case, semi expensive, lots of room for upgrades
I've got every possible OS i'd ever want on cd's scattered about down here...


hmm...see what you can, I'd like to see some different variations, try to keep it between the $1000 range. Thanks guys, i believe you've all built more machines than me. -Zach

Go look at my rig.....I've built dozens just like it. Office use tho......Gameboyz need a real video card . Under a grand and stable as a rock.

awesome, how much DID that run you? and is that with or without a monitor?

I'm sure you could do that or better with 500 without monitor unless it's a 15" or something.
