emotional problems.

I'm not just saying this to be a jerk.

Many if not most of the girls I've met recently seem relatively normal at first, but reveal deep emotional disturbances only shortly after getting to know them.

And I'm not meeting "low quality" girls. I've met girls from different walks of life in different venues and relatively different age groups (17 to 22... a fair range since I'm 21.)

They all have one thing in common: they are confused, disturbed, walled off or otherwise emotionally unstable.

Even my ex girlfriend had these problems.

Is there such a thing as an emotionally stable woman or are all of them so frail?

Those are rare... There is one in my ChemEng classes, but she is already taken.

And now you know why I've told myself that I'll never date a girl younger than (at the least) 22. It just seems to take most women a little while to "find" themselves and figure out what they want, and that period is most commonly in the early to mid-twenties. Us men, on the other hand, seem go through that same confusion when we hit 40 or so. Gotta love it.

I'd love to, but not many 25 year olds would date someone who's 21. There's a lot that happens in those years. I'm still in university, those ladies would be looking to get married!

None the less, there's this quiet and mature blonde girl at work, I'd say she's maybe 30ish... I'm really attracted to her for some reason, I suppose because she's so mature and I'm so tired of girly crap.

you are not the only one having this problem man.

The last three girls I went out with had deep emotional problems, and I didn't know it beforehand. You probably subconsciencely pick up on it and seek those kinds of girls out. After the third one I did some internalization and I could see how I might do be prone to dating those kind of girls. And I could see how they would be attracted to me, when an emotional stable woman would probably go after someone with more cache (accent the e), all other things being equal.

If the deep seeded emotional problem is a low self-esteem tied to an emotionally unavailable father, but more condoms....

Every GF I have had, has some kind of emotional problem/issue/illness what have you.

One was molested as a kid. I didn't find out about that till after we broke up.

Another became a skank at 14, followed by booze and drugs. I found out about this while we were breaking up.

Another has a Bi-polar mother that needed treatment and I can just imagine the hell she went through. She refuses to discuss it even after breaking up 16 years ago.

The only GF I fell in love with pic has a birth defect that affects her nose and eyes as well as her hands and feet. While it is not serious it has affected her self image because she was teased about it. She has a host of emotional issues.

My last GF has a bunch of issues too. She is a control freak and has depression. She's a good woman, but I couldn't deal with it any more.
