Just ordered a Dell 2005fpw display - and am hoping it's revision A02...

Is there a way to tell what revision it is once it arrives? Will it say so somewhere on the box or something?
Am worried because someone said that the backlit issues were resolved with the latest revision A02...

It says the Revision the back of the monitor. It's not hidden or anything.

I have a Rev A01 and it's fine, I don't notice any backlight issues or whatnot.

Awesome, it was a killer deal. I've been waiting for that deal for a week or two, and finally it popped up.

Dell shipped it out already, via UPS. The tracking number says it should be here the 22nd, Tuesday. Kinda excited about it. The problem is, I only have an Analog output for my videocard, not a DVI output, at 1600x1200, I hear it is going to look horrible. Ahh, just another reason for me to get a 6800GT .

I was really debating between the 2005FPW, and the 2001FP. I think the widescreen looks cool, but I don't know if I could deal with that funky native res, espically in games. I just decided to play it safe, and get a "standard sized" monitor with a "standard" resolution. Regardless, both are to be awesome monitors.

Goodluck with the back-lighting issue, I read about that as well, and it sorta swayed me to the 2001FP. I think since I've heard of many of the 2005FPWs not having an issue anymore, and the fact you just ordered yours much after the "fix", I probally wouldn't worry that much about it. I doubt they have any of the older revisions on the shelves.

What I am worried most about is dead/stuck pixels. Hopefully dead pixels aren't an issue with either monitor. On that note, do you know Dell's dead pixel replacement policy?
