because some of us grew up with parents who cared for us and would sacrifice anything they had in order to make us happy. giving something back without expecting something in return is what every kid should do for their parents. i gave my parents $10,000 toward my college education and $4000 for the car they gave me. thats all i had, so thats all i could give. i expected nothing in return, not even a pat on the back. they sacrificed way more than that raising me.

you dont know what that 17k was spent on. maybe it was spent on keeping him and his brother alive, sending them to school, buying them clothes, etc. an interest free loan is like a slap in the face if thats how the money was spent.

I really appreiciate all the positive posts guys. I don't resent doing it one bit, I've just got the "starting from scratch" bug biting me right now.

She really did use all that money on taking care of us, making sure we always had nice cloths, food, all that. Quite a bit of that debt went into my brothers medical troubles growing up (he has downs and a weak immune system, he was sick CONSTANTLY).

But enough of the past! Brother's healthy, moms got peace of mind as you guys put it, I have a job and a FAT stero in my car .

PS: Hey shockwave I actually got an amp for the rest of my car speakers plus two 12" Polk MoMo subs and HOLY CRAP dose it rock the block! I figured out how to tune the sub (MAJOR pain in the ass man) but now I have no clue how to tune the amp for the rest of the speakers and I'm scared to mess with it .

Wow...that must be one of the best gifts I've read about...being 20 and paying off that much of your mothers' debt is no easy thing. I know that at the age of 20, I'd probably made a total of 10K my entire lifetime. (just guessing, who knows)

To tune the amp for your mids and highs you'll need more crossovers. I know, they can be a PITA. PM me later tonight when I'm at work. Its usually pretty slow then, right now I'm at home with my own hellspawn of children running rampant around the house. Its all i can do to beat them into submission...
