Ok, so the car runs great ...
But looks just like all the other A4's ...
and I just can't have that !!

So they come with 16" wheels ...
And I think 18" would be big enuf to do the trick.
I've also heard that if you go any more than 2" over stock, then it not so great. (Can't remember why)

And really, that's ok ... I think 18" will be fine.

I kinda like the 20 spoke look ... but I'm not sold yet.

SO LINK ME TO SOME COOL WHEELS GUYS !!!!

EDIT: Removed "Must be chrome" ... although it's still an option...
I'm open to looking at any LINKS you recommend.

ummm budget? Please don't say money is no object as a 98 Audi A4 defines a budget is present.

Other considerations on wheel choices is do you want show or performance?

A quality chromed wheel is not cheap....

5 spoke or more looks nice on any car.

No flame needed. Just some simple 5+ spoke alloy's look nice on a car. Definately at least 17" with low profile tyres

Must be very bright chrome, and not going to peel on me.

a) you're an idiot, if you want chrome trade the car in for an escallade or something.
b) check out audiworld.com for ideas, OZ makes some nice touring rims at 112mm

<- owns an a4

Tasteful chrome wheels...

20-spoke wheels (any flavor) on ANYTHING....:thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

Please don't put some spoke wheels straight out of a rap video on that...it'll look SO dumb. JMO, of course.

I think you are thinking of the 100 spoke wheels... and I'm not putting those on... ever.

The ones I'm seeing around are about 10-20 ... but not "spokes" ... just alloy.

I should look some up and link you guys ... (Unlike what I've got from anyone here)

I have to say that most of you guys are much more negative than I thought you would be.

I was hoping for a more mature responce ... my mistake I guess.

Maybe I should be a bit more clear ....

I could have bought any fricken car I wanted to... I was test driving benz's and almost bought the slk320 Kompressor .... very nice car.

So assumptions of being on a budget are unfounded ... I just like to get good deals..

And I made out like a bandit on this Audi .. so I bought it.

Furthermore ... yes I got the 2.8 Quattro.

I'm looking for tastfull wheels ... nothing pimpin' ... I hate that look.

I want CLASSY wheels ... 1"-2" bigger than stock I think will do just fine ...

I think going any bigger looks stupid and the ride gets worse... not worth it to me.

If you still want to just post stupid comments on whatever ... go to another thread please.

I'm looking for ACTUALL POSITIVE comments ... and LINKS would be a novel idea.

Thx guys ... I stay tuned.

Do you have a list of wheel / tire websites you've been browsing??? If not, I think I could find a few... tirerack.com being a popular one...

That's truly laughable. If you can buy any car, getting a deal on a low priced car is not what is the driving factor. If you were truly without budget and looking for a deal, there are many to be had in the 60k-70k car range for a higher percentage of savings. Let's be honest here.

So what is your budget for the wheels, this *will* be the *main* criteria. Looks of pimpin' or whatever is in the eyes of the beholder...

Get some S4 wheels, or anything else for that matter just not chrome. Audi A4 != chrome. Stay with an alloy wheel in my opinion. You could go 18in on the A4 with no problems, and it seems like your not going to be racing it anyways, so you won't see a difference in performance. Normally wheels 2in and larger above stock aren't recommended for racing because of the additional rotational weight. Unless of course you pay big buys for a extremely lightweight wheel.

Chrome and classy don't go in the same sentence together. And if you think we're negative, go over to Audiworld.com and post the same thing. You'll get flamed so fast, it'll make your head spin. I've been a member of Audiworld since 1997 (I have 98 A4), and I have yet to see anyone suggest chrome and not get flamed. Go get an Escalade or something.

Oh, and any fricken car you wanted and you almost chose an SLK320? WOW. I mean, WOW :Q That's like, the most expensive car ever. Man, you are rich.

I would get a mesh wheel with a polished lip, I've always liked that style on your model A4.

a set of OZ racing should do the trick.
a friend of mine put Superallegra's on his SRT-4 and it looks badass. I dont have a pic, but its sweet looking.
they are multi-spoke, gunmetal in finish. sweet rims.

Get a few cans of "chrome" spray paint from autozone and paint your existing wheels and tires. That'd at least save you money while ghettofying your car.
