They should for marketting purposes. If they shipped 50K units to Japan (half) and sold out, they could be on the PR wagon and said... 100K units would also have sold out. Instead, they were being retards and overshipped to Japan.

Yeah then they coulda said they were sold out over there since it was such a good console. Instead they have a ton of units sitting around unbought so much so that stores have reduced prices on them lol. However, I imagine the dude who decided the numbers probably was bill gates or balmer or one of those guys. Kinda hard to fire them. When you fire someone in a high position like that you call it retirement and give them millions for making mistakes, like the CEO of HP that was let go. You can make more money screwing a company and retiring with a giant package, than doing your job the best you can for years. Sad.

My friend (who works at target) said they got 10 in at the Thornton, CO store. Apparently those were snatched by employees though, and my friend got 1. I'd be mad if I wanted one, but I don't so screw it.

WTF i went to target yesterday and had 4 people back in electronics tell me that there store is holding xbox 360's for people who call in at 8 am so i call at 8 am today and the manager said they shouldnt have told me that, and i was like well thats why i confirmed it with 4 people from your stuff and then he asked me there names I just told him I dont know b/c I didnt want to get them in trouble.

If I didnt have to be at work at 8am i would have stopped by

haha ya tell me about it, i really thought they were full of it, and thats why i went around confirming it with them all, but maybe they planned on doing it that way but since there store only got 3 xbox's they decided against it.

Yeah, there are some people who go and drop by taget before coming into work. The guy at told me that ahlf teh 360's they have got on have been sold to the same guy. They even went as far as to misplacing them in the back to prevent teh guy from buying more.

This is why I'm not even going to bother trying anymore. Until the retail ++++++ ebay market is gone, you are going to compete with people out to make a buck. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I guess I just don't want one THAT bad.

Hopefully the big shipment that is supposed to go out this week will cut into the profit margins some.

Just to let you know, the Richmond, CA Target doesn't have any. I just checked at 8:00 am today. The guy told me they had 4 2 days ago, but sold out of them in an hour and "they're supposed to get more, not this week, but more in the next shipment." <shrug>

I work at a Target in IL near St. Louis. We have none but are reported to have some coming sometime soon. I can't tell you when, I don't have that info. All I know is that some are coming. Probably around 10-12 for our store. Looks like this is the same, Target seems to be getting them in waves by district.

Also for the kid that said he knew they were getting shipments of electronics...he's full of it or he's just trying to tell you that he got the same letter i did without saying it. This "letter" was 360 specific, we don't know any dates and as always unless something specific like this happens, we don't ever know what's coming till it gets there.
