Got an LG fuel, it's mediocre spec wise but I like the size. Recommend me a 3.5 in smartphone

Nothing really, if you want something under 5" look at the Xperia Z4 compact.

Remember, look at phone dimensions for an accurate understanding of size, NOT screen size. A lot of cheaper phones will have 3.5" screen on a 4.2" body because of HUGE bezzles.

I don't think the Z4 compact is released yet, and it probably never will. Rumors are it will be the Z5 and Z5 compact next.

meh, either way a compact version of a flagship is really the only option for a decent smaller device these days.

LG fuel is a 3.5inch 30 dollar phone. This is some next level hipster shit and I'm loving it!

Having trouble multitasting. Need altertive to LG fuel that's the same size. Looking at HTC desire 200. Will this play music and game at the same time?

If I get a number on the straight talk fuel, I can switch to a Verizon moto g in the future with the same number?

Yes.

And no one makes more powerful phones at 3.5 inches anymore. I've had the Fuel... really surprisingly good for the price at the time and it shipped with KitKat. The Desire 200 is barely better, if at all (abysmal resolution). But if you want something that can multitask and game, you'll need something on the level of the Optimus F6 at least. 4.5".

That's getting long in tooth, though, and not great for anything more than casual games. The LG L70 is a little newer, but still low end. All the newer, better phones have moved up to 4.7" as the minimum and 5" to 5.5" as the average range. The last phone I used that was even 4" was the Lumia 521, but all the newer Lumias like the 635 are 4.5" are bigger.

Check out Sony's Xperia line, Z3 Compact is the latest. A little hard to find and not cheap, but without peer in the small form factor.

How does the Galaxy Alpha compare? I am looking for a small phone around this size.

At first I was just looking for a new phone in general. I was set on the Zenfone 2.....until I saw the size of that thing.

It doesn't seem like there is much around the same size as the Xperia Compact.

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to giving up my iPhone 5S. I didn't want to migrate from iPhone 4S, I actualy liked the palm-sized pocketable form factor a lot better - my thumb covered the whole area effortlessly, whereas I have to stretch on the taller 5S. Yeah #firstworldproblems, but I live on this thing!

5s is still the best small smartphone and has a lot of life left.

I think it will outlast the iPhone 6+ honestly. More power per pixel.
