This goes hand-in-hand with asking software publishers to stop consumer covert beta-testing by releasing incomplete software and a finished product. This also goes hand-in-hand with not providing and ability to try and buy most of the more expensive consumer software products. Its a hard pill to swallow not know what the EULA is until you open the box, but then cannot get the retailer to return it.

Consumer abuses are just as profound, in my opinion, as publisher abuses.

If only there were free alternatives to all my psp games... then I wouldn't have to worry about it.

You have enough money to buy the PSP, step up and buy the games. It's not some huge corp conglomerate you hurt, it's the coders who sit there 12 hours a day, and their families.

Also, if everyone who wanted to play a game/use an app purchased it, maybe there would be more budget for Q/A and Development

is it easy enough to wait a few weeks, ask about the bugs and then decide if you should buy it or not?

Why cant everyone learn that when you pirate dont just hurt the ceo's and "artists", you hurt the average everyday workers just like you and me.

Umm movie music and gaming studios are making huge profits. They just aren't making as much money as in the late 90s. before. Although I don't think you should pirate these things, they need to take a look at their buisiness models. There is a reason why people aren't purchasing more of their products.

Hardly. The coders get paid regardless. For the love of Long John Silver, do you think the coders actually work several months, quite possibly several years to finally get paid AFTER the software is released? I think not.

It IS the large corporate conglomerate that gets hurt, because you are taking away their 50%+ profit margin on a hot selling $49.99 title.

Of course your next step in this complaint will be "well the next round of coders will get hurt because the large corporate conglomerate will have less money to pay for the R&D of the next software title..." In this sense, you'd be correct.

However that 50%+ profit margin is far more important to that large corporate conglomerate than the money to cover the cost of R&D. After all, CEO's have to get their 7 figure salaries and multimillion dollar options and bonuses from somewhere, while the coder gets their 5 figure salary and maybe a small bonus for a successful software launch from the R&D budget.

What if you download it THEN buy it because its a great game? What if there is no demo? What if you had no intention of buying in the first place--ever?

Yeah I hear ya dude. I mean I really don't want to hear about the coders and their families, and I could care less about them than I would a bum on the street. Those people make damn good money compared to the rest of the worlc so they can shove it as far as I am concerned. I am sick of buying regurgitated crap for $50 and getting sick of it within a week. Obviously, there are some games that are an exception, but the fact is that most people do not make the kind of money that coders do and so they do not have the money to buy these games & discard them at will. Personally, I made a decision to not be a coder when I was in college because it bored me to hell and my wallet has suffered ever since. I wish things were different but these companies & their well paid employees can seriously kiss my big white ass. I just won't play their games if it is that big of a deal.

In order for me to purchase full priced games the following conditions need to be met:

1. It isnt just last year's game 'But this year with super realistic moustaches!!!!!oonneeonneeeoonnnnnnee!!11111111111'
2. That it isnt priced at a ridiculous £50 for at most 12 hours play

Until some originality exists and they are more reasonably priced ... Im sorry but the warez scene will always be the 'demo'

I have bought games that I wasnt really interested in, just to support the original thinking behind it. EG WWIIOL, and this year's spore. I played probably 2 hours of WWIIOL and probably won't play much more of Spore... but they deserve support.

When you download piracy software, company who make this software, just don?t take your money and so on.

In poor countries, were wages at 100$ peoples cant by software for 100$. But they children?s too want to use win, play games and so on. And i understand them who use piracy software in not so rich countries.

Of course if you have money why not to buy legal software?
