Just Signed up for The "Audi Driving Experince" **Updated**

I'm so excited, I just registered for it!! Sure it was a hefty chunk of change, but it's much less than the cost of owning/leasing these cars. So I think it's not that bad. I just can't wait to actually get the chance to drive the RS4, I have been drooling over it since it was first released.

Got back last night, and pulled the pics off at work (used a digicam from work).

The whole event was a lot of fun, the RS4 was awesome, but the R8 was epic!!!! I only hit 110mph but this thing had so much left to give, I was floored. I had never experienced such a car before, and it was indeed everything I expected. The sound, the handling, the acceleration, all were terrific. I don't know what else to say, it was great and if you guys can sneak your way into either one, DO IT!!!!

Yea its expensive, but cheap in comparison to buying said cars. I wanted to do Skip Barber before, and probably eventually will, but that is a couple times more, albeit for a lot more time.

I don't know about this year? I know they had one at LP Field here in Nashville a year or so ago and I saw people driving 6, 7, 5 and 3 series. I didn't participate, but that's just what I saw people driving around.

I don't know about this year? I know they had one at LP Field here in Nashville a year or so ago and I saw people driving 6, 7, 5 and 3 series. I didn't participate, but that's just what I saw people driving around.

For the Audi one, it looks like you get to drive TT,A4, and Q7 for free. You need to pony up $600 to drive the RS4 and R8, though.

Hell... I signed up just for a chance to drive at Pocono for free! Any fast car would be fun on that track!

Well, at the going rate for the tracks they are using, you'd be lucky to get 1.75 track days... All the marquee tracks such as Sears Point (the location they are using for SF) charges clubs such a high rate that you have to pay 350+! for a day


595$ for half a day is really steep. It's probably an even bigger huge rip off since they probably don't give you that many laps on the track either. It would be a good deal if you got 2 to 2.5 hours of actual track time in the RS4. That's only about 250$ over a regular track day to beat it up on the track However, I bet you only get about 20 to 30 minutes total track time The rest is probably classroom and parking lot "drills".



I wonder if you have to sign a waver stating that you are responsible for damage to the cars. Sears Point is NOT a good track for beginners in a powerful car they are not used to. Lots of walls to hit I was just there this past saturday for a track day, and two cars went into walls the first half of the day.

I just went to the SRT Track Experience. It was free because my car was made after a certain date but other than that it's $500. Probably the same as this Audi Driving Experience except you do get to be inside a much faster car :thumbsup: It was awesome.

It was awesome and had a nice exhaust note and handled/braked pretty damn well for how large the car is but nothing compares to the viper. damn getting inside that thing, the cockpit, it felt like you were in a race car. that thing is LOW AS HELL to get into. The viper has no electronics to help you out so its you and the road. you can roast those tires too damn easily. I just wish I had gotten more time in the Viper to learn how to drive it properly.

I've got a buddy that has two 500hp vipers amongst his collection and he has let me drive them on several occasions. They are definately track cars, driving them on city streets is just frustrating and the freeway is only slightly better unless your in the middle of nowhere But when you do finally get to let the reigns out they are amazingly fast and scary, the speed is really intensified by being so close to the ground.

Driving a TT at 115 on the high banks of Pocono made the trip worthwhile in itself. Doing crazy things like driving an $80,000 A8L and a Q7 in a slalom course were just icing on the cake! It's amazing what they let you get away with, considering that it's a "free" event.

There is a slim chance that you could get a reserve a spot on the waiting list for next week's event if you hurry, but it's a long shot at this point.
