I just cut out my door for a window. I was a little worried at first but it turned out great. It just tore right through it. Now to go home and slide my window in. My first mod, besides installing a fanbus.

I'll take some pictures when I get the whole unit done. I still need to put the hardware together and what not..
It's a 1.6A
Asus P4S333
256Mg mushkin DDR2700
Leadtek GF3 Ti200
WD 80G
SB Audigy gamer
sony 52X
cheiftec case, black with window and 120 fan
470W PS
rounded silver cables
fanbus
red cold cathode
red atomic grill for 120

I'm getting pumped now that I got the hard part done..

So it was not all that hard with just a skillsaw? No injuries?

Seriously, did you have to sand a lot aftewards?

I just performed the exact same mod and it was easier than I thought. In my case, I did the cutting from the back of the panel so I wouldn't scratch it, and therefore I had to be creative a couple of times so the saw wouldn't hang on a couple of metal tabs that were on the panel. Otherwise, it was easier than I thought, and I'm no expert with power tools to begin with. My window was a rectangular one with rounded corners and a 120mm fan hole.

I did almost no sanding - just a few spots with a metal file to remove the bigger jaggies (there were only a couple at the corners). The gasket for my window was about 1/2" wide, so it easily covered up any imperfections in the cut.

I would highly recommend this mod to those considering it.

Yep, skilsaw makes a nice cut normally, and it only takes a couple minutes with a round edge file to clean up any jaggies. Plus you have some slop room with the window gasket, which makes it real easy to make a professional looking install. When cutting from underneath (best way) be sure to clean the surface you are resting the panel on, otherwise you will get scratches from anything as you press down on it with the saw. I actually lay a towel on my workbench, and am very careful not to cut too close to it...

Not much sanding at all. I cut from the front. I had some 2 inch wide blue tape so I had no scratches what so ever. I got the window in today. So far the hardest part was putting in the locking strip..Here is my window.. Zantec4.

I wish I had web space. It turned out great, I also have a 120 hole in.
