I hope so. I think it's just in testing phases, but I think it has a good possibility to become a standard.

Jesus christ I hope not. First off, cops wreck thier cars often enough with "mighty" crown victoria power pushing them along. Why do they need fast cars? To engage in dangerous, reckless pursuits? To use more gasoline while they sit idling running their speed trap?

The police Chargers are normally the V6 versions, from the cities with them that I have seen.

Modern cars, even a big V8 like in the Charger, use almost no gas at all while idling. Usually just a couple ounces per hour.

The SRT-8? I doubt it. What's a Crown Vic with police package cost? $22-23k at fleet prices? The SRT-8 has got to be $10k more expensive even with fleet discounts.
