I tip my stylist $10 on a $15 haircut most of the time. She is completely independent. She started cutting my hair when she worked for Pro-Cuts about 12 years ago and between then and now, I have only had a handful of cuts not by her. I want to support her shop, so I tip well!

good for you, there's no way I'm paying 67% tip for a haircut. If she needs more $$, just charge more money.

That's probably why it's $17, to encourage a $3 tip.

My barber charges me $12 and I tip her $3. It just makes it easy to pay with a 20.
