All lies are created to support emotional needs. One that animates everyone, and which real religion will warn against, is the need to get even for the bitterness of the heart created by contempt of behaviors of self interest children manifest, the desire to be loved unconditionally.
Every parent upon whom such an obligations will unfailingly be placed will fail to varying degrees to meet them owing to the same condition, creating lies as to why they can’t meet them, and all there to deny their own fear of failure. In this way a culture of lies is established and promulgated down through history.
The result is a culture full of envy, covetousness, and a variety of other forms of psychological misery all ingrained and habituated at various levels of sickness depending on the relative levels of penetration at the personal level adults were exposed to in regard to both positive and negative influences.
Thus we come at the world with various levels of commitment or avoidance of moral responsibility and the greater the avoidance the more prevalent the need to lie, to not know that the need to lie is based on a need not to feel that one’s selfish lust are the simple result of being made to feel you don’t deserve anything decent.
So we walk among people like us who say so be it, if I’m worthless which I will never admit, then fuck you and the horse you road in on.
One way to compensate for this kind of damage is to flock together with others of one’s own ilk and pat each other on the back as a pack of self congratulatory boobs to maintain and perpetuate and defend to the death an altered reality where love is hate, war is peace, and truth is a lie. We have that today in the modern Republican Party.
The denial of feelings manifest as a need to express them behaviorally. The need to defend against the awareness of feelings of self hate creates a personality others will hate as it will remind then of self they also fear to feel.
