Does anyone receive their confirmation receipt by email? I got the same secure server script error, but had a order number.

according the review in digital-eye review, they are not sure if the camara is TWAIN compatible. well, i think it is very important feature for dig camera, if the camara doesn't has this feature, i will kick JVC ass..

I just call Cameraworld 1-800-2263721 and the CSR said that their system is having problems generating confirmation emails but the camera will be shipped Monday.

I just called a spoke to a cameraworld CSR and he confirmed my order... it looks like most orders probably went through even if you did not get a confirmation email.

I check my order also...everything was processed OK even thought I didn't get an email. Also found out that the camera is backordered 2-3 weeks!

Just called Cameraworld, order when through but camera is backorder. According to the CRS it takes 3-4 weeks before they can ship them out. damn!!! and i thought i could use this camera for testing. :[

Backorder, eh? When I called at around 11:00AM this morning I was told my order would ship Monday or Tuesday... I guess I will have to call them back and clear this up.

just called the CameraWorld CSR to confirm my order, here's what I got:

1) Price was a typo, but they are honoring the price to whoever ordered it in time. (thanks anandtech!)

2) Reason for website errors is that they just put up a new website, and are currently working out the &quot;bugs&quot;. If you don't get a confirmation e-mail right after you order, you should call them and make sure it came through, since you won't EVER get confirmation order then.

3) got mine for ~$314, they said they are on back order, estimated 2-3 weeks arrival. they won't charge your CC until it ships, and you should get a UPS e-mail w/ tracking number when they do.

hope that helps, the CSR was pretty nice...

I just got off the phone with a gentleman on CSR and he told me the following information. The product JVC GC-QX3 was a TYPO. On a normal Friday night, Saturday morning they would normally get about 3-5 orders for this particular camera. Today they got over 300 orders and it wiped out the entire inventory. Can you say &quot;Buy.com monitor fiasco&quot;? HOWEVER, he said they are going to honor all the orders! He wouldn't tell me whether my camera made the cut off point. That is, whether it'll be shipping on Tuesday or in 3 weeks! YUCK! Good luck.

I also got an error when I checked out but my CC# got a $313.84 temp charge, so it looks like it went through. Was so tempted by that price that I didn't even check if they had any in stock.

Did the CSR happen to mention how many they actually DO have in stock, and if they will simply be shipping them based on which orders were placed first? I notice now that the web page for the camera @ cameraworld's site says that it is &quot;temporarily out of stock.&quot; Did anybody notice what it said last night when the orders were placed?

Yeah I noticed what it said when I ordered it. It said in stock. The problem is it's dependent on when you ordered. Before or after the cut off point. I spent about 2 hours on the order page while I did research and was deciding. The CSR would not tell me whether I made the cutoff or not!

Just my .02.....Camera world is a legit shop here in oregon. I have had good dealings with them. They are not like those NYC hack shops selling 2nd rate or refurb goods at top price. You will get the real deal or all your money back from these guys.

Maybe you should check your CC# to see if any charges are made. For those that they said they were going to honor the price, what time did you order? I am pretty sure I made it, order it 5-7AM EST time.

I would be willing to sell you my camera for $500. Well I'd consider it. That's still about $80 cheaper than you'll find elsewhere. I also ordered $160 extras, I'd need to unload those too - 64 MB Smartmedia and USB Smartmedia card reader.

You can probably get one cheaper on e bay once people start e baying the stuff they bought (cheaper than $500 not $300).
