So, I got in on the JVC camera, but then early this morning I saw the Buy.com deal of the day with the Fuji camera. In the short moment of my indecision, the Fuji's sold out. I suppose the JVC is 3 Megapixels vs. the Fuji's 2, but the Fuji has more of a track record. 'Bout the same price though. I think I should be happy, but the grass is always greener... (I like the Adaptable lens on the Fuji) Which do you guys think is preferable?

Cameraworld screwed me over! I placed the order early sat morning at 5:56 an got a screen shot of my order. However, I didn't write the order number down. I called today at noon and they don't have my order!! They are all on backorder and will not honor that price because they will not get anymore in. This is very upsetting to me. The representative, Mike, told me that i should have called back saturday morning instead of waiting till today. WTF? That's screwed up. They probably lost my order purposely!!!

hmm...this is indeed a disturbing news. I also placed an order around 6am on Sat. I also saved every bit and piece of order info (including the #). I didn't call on Sat, but I will definitly give them a ring today. Somehow, I don't have a good feeling about this :|

I am curious to how all of you get direct and absolute answers from the CSR. Mine said no repeatedly when asked about whether he knew when my product was shipping or if I made the cutoff point. Man! Now my next problem is I ordered my 64 smartmedia from Onvia for about 120. It hasn't shipped and Buy.com is having it for like 85 after coupon so I wonder if Onvia can cancel my order. On the other hand Buy.com's Smartmedia is backordered!

syg, did you call them today? I just got off the phone with them and the CSR told me my order was scheduled to ship today and arrive at my house on Wednesday. Seems like by now they would be able to tell you if you made the cut-off, because either your order is shipping today or it isn't...

No i didn't, because it was my understanding that they had not shipped it, but I did select UPS Blue as my carrier and based on my address the CSR told me that I might be getting it as soon as this Thursday. I didn't asked for details because I played low during the entire conversation ( know nothing about pricing error, hot deals, email screwup, etc, etc - just calling because I did not receive my email confirmation ). Honestly I was as suprised as you are, but I did not question his assurance. So there you go...will I get my camera on Thursday - I don't know. Did CSR tell me that I might get it as soon as this Thursday - Yes.

I called them yesterday, they told me my order went through and gave me an order number. However, they said it would not be delievered for another 3 weeks...
3 weeks is fine with me as long as they honor their price...:frown:

Well, I just got off the phone with them again and was told that my order, in fact, did NOT ship (as I was told it would yesterday) but he said that most likely ALL of the orders for this item will be filled within DAYS, NOT weeks. So it looks like it won't be as long as we thought...

I just got this email:

The order has not shipped. We have run out of the QX3 and it may be 4-5
weeks before JVC has more for us.

Looks like we are in for a *long* wait.

I called yesterday, the rep put me on hold twice like getting someone else to answer my questions. He said my order of 2 would ship UPS blue today. I think it mattered on what time you placed your order, thats all they seemed to care about. Hoefully he was truethful

p.s. you can get the 32 mb smartmedia card for only $40 shipped from Staples, (PriceMatch w/ Onvia at $56, use coupon for another $20 off, add tax, free ship since it was above $50 initially, no next-day shipping charges since website say delivery in 3-5 days)

Damnit, they said it shipped yesterday but I still haven't seen a UPS confirmation or anything. I tried loggin into cameraworld.com's test website yesterday but it wouldn't recognize my email address. I wonder if they even know my email?
