Yeah, kyutip you might want to sprint down to Tempe (?) and grab that DP10VBK because I'm 99.9% sure that it is also THX certified. I know that the 9VBK is and it's the model below. Also, if you look really really closely at the pic of the 10VBK on the JVC website, you can see the THX logo on the front panel. I'm surprised that they didn't list that feature on their site.
Packy, if you're already back in Eugene, save yourself the 3 hours of driving because I was at Fry's about two hours ago and there's no Sony DE1075. The highest model Sony I saw was either the 8xx or 9xx series. I think it was the 8xx model.

kweinmeister, unless you're a hardcore VHS or VCD fan, I don't think you'll miss ProLogic II. If i remember right, it basically simulates 5.1 channels from a two channel sound source.
wje, as far as the JVC RX8000VBK receiver, I don't consider 68Wx5 to be anywhere near 100Wx5. That's a 150W+ discrepancy. But like I said, as long as you're running powered subs you don't need buttloads of wattage for your main channels unless you live in a warehouse/gym/auditorium.
That kind of shocks me about the Yamaha HTR-5560 though. Especially since Yamaha rated that power at 0.06% THD versus the 0.08% THD that almost everyone else uses. If I look into that and it turns out to be true, I'm going to have to give them the Aiwa Award!
