If we are talking turbo vs sc, go turbo. 4 cyl don't have low end grunt to begin with and turning a belt driven blower will just sap it even more while not being as efficient up top as a turbo. Go turbo on a 4 cyl to complement where the engine is good at making power in the upper RPMs.

Save the superchargers for the bigger motors that can work better with the tradeoffs between a blower and turbo.

Depends what you are going for, but my 7psi SC'd K20 makes about 260whp (up from 170whp stock). Stock internals are probably OK at these levels.

SC is pretty easy to install as compared to turbo, and you will see similar gains at that boost level. They are also in the same ballpark for cost.

Advantage of turbo is you can hit higher power levels if you are building up your engine. SC performance falls off after 9-11psi unless you beef up the cooling (meth/aftercooler).

However, at the 6spd manual transmission has been known to self-destruct around 300whp.

Personally if I had a Fit that I wanted to build, I would focus on handling and weight reduction, similar to the new Spec race car that Honda sells. Dampers, springs, sways, tires. I've seen very few forced induction Hondas that can withstand continuous track lapping.

If you want a drag racer, you've got the wrong platform.

I had a K20 lump in a UK Civic Type R EP3 (200bhp stock), it did not have an LSD, the power was upped to about 225bhp with bolt on's even after trying several brands of tyre, it had trouble hooking up. Can't see turboing one of these without an LSD is a great idea, unless you have an LSD.
