Hey all,
I recently got a Tyan Titan Turbo AT motherboard (s1570, socket7), with an Intel 430TX chipset. I'm trying to use a k6-2 450 on it, but haven't had any luck getting it to boot. The k6-2 450 has a CTX core, which means it can run at 66mhz bus speeds and will remap a 2x multiplier to 6x. This means the MB SHOULD be able to run it at 396mhz. It has a 2.2v vcore and 3.0v io. I believe the 1570 auto-adjusts chip voltage, but I haven't found any documentation on this. I had a k6-2 400 running on it before (2.0v vcore, 3.3v io), but I think fried it due to not having a HS/Fan on it right away. But again, it could just be the jumper settings.
I've set the MB to 2x, and I believe all the other jumpers are correct, but I'm not sure. I could have messed something up in the process of trying to get it to work. If someone has experience with this board, please give me a hand
Link to the manual.
Thanks for any help!!
