There's also this:

But there are also plenty of slides saying Q4 2013, so I'm not really sure what to expect. Hopefully sooner rather than later, Bay Trail tablets plus the refreshed Windows 8.1 might help give the x86 market a kick in the pants.

AtenRa,

Those slides are from a May 2012 presentation. A lot has changed since then. The company's official announcements are for Holiday 2013 availability.

This Roadmap is for Valleyview-M only (and not confirmed by Intel). Valleyview-T launch window is between August-October 2013. For Temash, there is only a very short window before Valleyview-T is coming into tablets. We can't expect Temash tablets before August-September.

Small hint, there are 3 types(actually 4 types.). That roadmap is only for 1 type.

From Intel.com Januar or February 2013:
Product Name: Next Gen Intel® Atom™ processor for tablets (Bay Trail -T)
Product Introduction Date: August-October 2013 (Date/Time TBD)

Perfectly fits into the "first Bay Trail tablets holiday 2013" statement from Intel at IDF Beijing and CES.

There is no release date in this slide. I don't expect Valleyview-M/D this year either, but I expect Valleyview-T and Valleyview-S (Avoton) later this year.

Honestly Richland is not gonna be that amasing a product.

Its just a Trinity+, ei. matured process and small touchups allowing it to clock higher at same TPDs.

Basically:

A10-5800k = ~1500 in 3Dmark 11.
A10-6800k = ~1700 in 3Dmark 11. (~13% increase)
i7-3770k (HD4000) = ~770 in 3Dmark 11. (less than half of Richland's score)

The only time it comes off looking good is if you compair it to Ivy Bridge's IGP.

The problem for AMD is Haswell.... it ll probably be slightly faster than the Richland APU's IGP.

Haswell IGP: DIRT3 1080p High Quality settings, no AA: (looks smooth)

A10-5800k IGP@1050mhz: DIRT3 1080p High Quality settings, no AA: (45-55 fps)

Well let's not forget that Intel delayed it's Cedar Trail atoms from September 2011 all the way to January 2012. Intel is quite as flawless with Atom as it does with Core and Xeon line. Plus Clovertrail+ tablets are supposed to come out in Q3 which is an awfully short period of time in between launches.

Delays can happen to anynone. Currently with all informations we have Valleyview-T is stated for a launch this year.

Clovertrail+ is a Smartpone only product. It won't come for tablets. For Smartphones I don't expect Bay trail coming this year.

Does anyone know when Haswell comes out?

****Brain fart.

I didnt understand that the i7 4770k was a Haswell CPU (when I first saw that link).

Also big thumbs up for that post Intresting to see how these IGPs compair.

Hitman: Absolution (~25%)
DiRT Showdown. (~18%)
Skyrim (~21%)
WoW - Mists of Pandaria (~20%)

Its still abit slower than a Trinity A10-5800k.
I had expected it to be faster than the 5800k.

I get what your saying.
The HD4000 isnt the highest level iGPU intel has.

It has a HD4600 too, which is about 18-25% away from performing like the A10-5800k.
In Hitman: Absolution & DiRT Showdown.

Supposed to be June I believe, with a revised stepping in August to eliminate the USB 3.0 bug.
But I think those are for desktop. I am not sure about mobile. Honestly, desktop is sort of meh compared to IVB, but the mobile could be much more interesting.

The gt3 for mobile with e-dram could be quite interesting. The problem I see is price. My feeling is that a laptop equipped with this processor could easily cost more than a current model with a GT650M, since if you watch carefully, those can be gotten at a very good price now.

Anything with a GT3e should be priced solidly out of Richland's range. The CPUs with it are all quadcore monsters, plus it's Intel. I wouldn't expect the two to compete at all.

That tests the GT2 GPU. Haswell has another mobile SKU with a GT3e GPU, which is supposedly equivalent to a GTX 650M. That gets around 80 frames per second in Dirt 3 on high, as seen on NotebookCheck.

At what res.?..

Their claim is BS , typical marketing.

At least AMD gives 3DMark scores of their future products
while with intel we have to believe their sayings at face value
without even the slightest number just to make people think
that this is really wonderfull....

@AbwX

Think he ment Dirt 3 showdown. From this link to the 650m review:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-650M.71887.0.html

If you hover you mouse cursor over the text, it ll show resolution and settings.

650M GPU:

Dirt 3:
(low) 1024x768 Ultra low preset = ~89 fps
(med) 1366x768 Medium preset = ~65 fps
(high) 1366x768 High preset + 2xMSAA = ~51 fps
(ultra) 1920x1080 Ultra preset + 4xMSAA = ~18 fps

Its not Apples-to-Apples.

The "video" Intel has of Haswell running Dirt3, is at 1920x1080 + High preset + no AF/AA.

Haswell:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=VPrAKm7WtRk

Anyways at 1920x1080 + High Quality + no AF/AA,
a A10-5800k with its IGP@1050mhz can do ~45-55 fps too.

According to anand on twitter Clovertrail+ tablets are supposed to come out in Q3 although he isn't sure on that one.
