This thread is for owners and potential owners of the fantastic Kaby Lake-X line of CPUs.
Feel free to post your Geekbench 4 benchmark results so that they can be added to the leaderboard. You must post a link to your score in order for your results to be considered. The username for the results must match your username here. Only Kaby Lake-X results are valid for the leaderboard.
I've had mine for a little less than a month. It has been great with gaming, movies, and browsing the web. All the things I use my home PC for.
I upgraded to the 7740X with 16GB of memory from a 6950X with 64GB of memory.
The speed I settled with is a conservative 4.8GHz with 1.225V. It will go higher with more voltage. I like a cooler running CPU personally.
The 16GB of memory is G.SKILL Trident Z 4266 memory with default timings of 19-19-19-39-2T with 1.4V. Since I wanted an even 100MHz base clock the max memory speed I can select is 4133. I tweaked the timings from there. Got them pretty tight for that speed.
I'll add some benchmark results later on. Gaming or otherwise.
