It certainly wasn't the wisest financial move, and in retrospect I really do wish I'd bought the M3 first. (duh!) But I love this car.

The GT-R has some VERY impressive specs, but I just don't like the style all that much. Maybe once I see the car I'll change my mind.

Anyways, I posted in that thread too. I prefer the M3 over the GTR also. Its not as try-hard. And the driving experience is fantastic, (not something I'd ever say about any Nissan product).

Personally, I still prefer the new Challenger SRT. But the OP already has a goat, so its kinda redundant.

*As a note to the previous poster, if the M3 made another say, 200lb ft of torque, and a dual clutch gearbox, it would be the perfect car.

Lol those mods are not ricey at all, I do agree it looks fantastic as is but take a look around on some of the M3 forums on the web, the mods I listed are not ricey at all period. Different strokes of course but congrats all the same, the M3 of any gen is one of my all time favs. I think a moderate lowering would help a little as there is definitely a little too much space between the fender and tires, the M3 sits higher than the 335i. But painted reflectors are a must IMO.

It's being fun though...people have already brought the GTR into this.

I love the GTR due to all the Nissan dealers around here can now get my car up on their racks Nissan is spending a lot of money to outfit their dealerships. Fortunately my local one is also a performance Nissan shop. So now cheap race alignments to add to my oil changes @ $15.

I should have bought the M3 in the first place, I know. I'm not worried about the GTO, as I can handle simultaneous payments on both. My OP was more of a "OMG WTF did I just do?!" rather than a "look at me I have this really nice car!".

I was going to comment in your 335i upgrade thread you should have bought the M3. I didn't see the point of spending $50k on the 335i and $5k extra for exhaust and tune. Little did I know you would swap for the M3.

I have had several hours behind the wheel of a 745 Li when it first came out, so my only experiences with iDrive were with the earliest versions.

The dealer didn't believe me it could be done so he and his manager fought me on it.. they finally put it through by calling the regional rep to override the order and a week later U.S. dealers were finally able to do Saddle Brown in the system. Have you driven a GTR? My guess is that no member of this board has, though I guess anything is possible. I'm sure none of us have ever driven an F1 car, but it's still fun to discuss IMO.
