I 100% agree but they're not incumbent they dont have the chiefs and if scotus drags shit out till February Biden is still immune and its seal team 6 time.

Quite possible - while I don't have first hand knowledge, I'd fully expect the marines to sharply limit promotions under the communications/PR MOS that Vance was in. While getting the E3 is basically automatic for any marine during their 2nd year, E4 as I understand it is subject to competitive quotas. And in marines E4 normally requires taking on a squad (8 person team) leadership role - which Vance was apparently unqualified for.

They should still be allowed to run for POTUS. We see it too often where authoritarian regimes convict their opponents of trumped up charges that just happen to prevent them from running for office.

OK, that makes sense. But not vote? Rehabilitation has to be the top priority. Allowing felons to engage in the processes of determining the underpinnings of society at large should be considered a positive for all concerned, felons and their communities.

I think felons should be allowed to vote, period, even before they have "paid their debt to society," i.e. while incarcerated, etc. I mean how much damage can they do with a pen, ballot and voter information guides?
