His Dad and his Uncle were both over hyped in my view. They'd both be totally shredded by today's media. JFK was to put it bluntly, kind of an ass (let's not gloss over the Monroe affair and suspicious death). Bobby made his name trying to take down the Teamsters and Hoffa.

I strongly suspect your "view" is based upon shallow or little actual knowledge, especially as regards RFK. Please explain specifically on what you base your opinion that RFK would be "shredded by today's media." We would be living in almost a complete different (and far better) world if RFK became President in '68 instead of Tricky Dick.

The media of the 60s adored the Kennedys and harbored great sympathy for them after JFKs' death. They did not look as closely at RFK as today's media would. Media back then didn't look to take politicians apart until Nixon.

Causes…what causes spasmodic dysphonia

What Is the Cause of Spasmodic Dysphonia? The exact cause of spasmodic dysphonia is unknown, however, most cases result from a trigger in the brain and nervous system that can affect the voice. Sometimes it is caused by psychological stress.

My supposition is that RFK Jr.'s SD is the result of his madness. He's unconsciously aware of his self-serving betrayal and the symptom is SD.

He's had this for well over a decade.

Also, he probably has mercury poisoning from a young age, because he liked to play with it on his desk at school.

Also, he hit the heron super hard when in college.

Yeah it's quite the "weird" hypothesis. Today's MSM would attack RFK because as AG, he tried to go after organized crime. 🤣

To this very day I've not encountered a conservative that could factually ascertain why Trump would be a better president than Kamala. At work, it's the conservatives that are always bringing up their complaints and accusations of Trump's enemies while rolling out these vague nebulous acclaims of Trump's past performance as POTUS and worthiness that could never stand up to the test of producing factual evidence thereof.

But why bother? All these folks are doing is talking themselves into believing what they're preaching. Interrupting that process of theirs only gets them angry and combative and hardens their resolve to believe the unbelievable. This I learned the hard way after attempting to have a couple of frank and friendly discussions about Trump's unique style of politicking and governance. Stating actual facts and providing irrefutable evidence of Trump's words and deeds is inevitably received as making false claims of Trump's travails and his alleged personality disorders that create them.

Ergo, I will never get engaged when Trump's supporters are getting in my face about why people have to be so mean to Trump. All I say in response is "sorry, the only person I discuss politics with is my wifey" because all they're looking for is a confirmation of their beliefs.

lol I'll take "Things that didn't happen for $500, Alex".

I got a life lesson when I was 18 and

had a *ugh* girlfriend?? Another guy tried to woo her and made up obvious bullshit like he was a former navy seal and he was kicked out because he tried to race on the Verrazano bridge but got into a wreck where the car fell off the bridge. Like obvious fake bullshit but she left me for him. Glad she did.. I had higher standards after that!

But it's stuck with me.. that the human mind has an incredible capacity to deceive itself. And it's best not making friends or dealing with people living in a fictional reality.

Meh, I wouldn't put much stock in that. They blame _everything_ they don't understand on "psychological stress". It's akin to saying "the invisible demons did it".

I posted in another thread that I just saw Inside with Jen Psaki on MSNBC. She had Robert's sister Kerry Kennedy on for an interview about her brother endorsing Trump. She has the same voice issue, just not as bad. It must be genetic or a strange learned affection. (not sure if that the way that last word is spelled).

Go look up what happened between Rockefeller and Goldwater during the primary season of 1964.

I know you never heard of the controversy of Rockefeller, divorce, and a secretary.

Also willing to bet you didn’t live through that period, either.

Mob rule is the best. What could go wrong?

The filibuster should go back to what it was intended for though: rare, critical situations. It shouldn't be easy, it shouldn't be routine, it shouldn't be common. And it shouldn't be allowed when just one rogue player wants to put a wrench in the gears. But, it does serve a critical purpose.
Not a fan of jumping to the conclusion that any reduction in minority control is “mob rule”.

Democracy by definition allows majority rule. A constitutional democracy like ours provides checks and balances in part to protect minority rights.

The current modern use of the filibuster is to ensure minority rule, which is the end goal of conservative politicians, rather than protect minority rights. Destruction of checks and balances actually make minority rule and mob rule more likely. So in this case I’m for a return to checks and balances which means reduction or removal of using the filibuster.

Team Weird has taken on a fine totally normal individual

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suspending his presidential campaign has not yet put an end to the anecdotes about his personal life.

The latest story, originally shared by Kennedy’s daughter Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy in a recently resurfaced 2012 interview with Town & Country Magazine, details how Kennedy once used a chainsaw to cut off the head of a dead whale carcass that had washed up on the shores of their family’s home in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. He then drove the whale’s head back to their home in New York on the roof of the family’s minivan, according to the interview.

CNN headline link so it will change thus it’s not included.
RFK cut the head off a dead whale, that’s totally normal everyone has done that.

The amount of time RFK Jr. plays with dead animals, it's no wonder the rich moron had brain parasites.

A true MAGA Republican if I ever saw one.
