IIRC Obama won NC twice, and it was fairly close 4 years ago.* The lead in polls are well within the margin of error right now.While I understand NC is considered a “lost cause” for Democrats, I’d almost suggest it’s a toss-up at worst.
The governor’s race may encourage a larger than expected turnout from Democrats, given the Republican candidate is an insane black man who hates blacks, amongst other groups.
