Yup, I never knew they got that big until I moved up here. I've seen them before in rocky water areas (think beaches with big boulders) but usually around the size of your palm... Was at a park/waterfall though and saw everyone freaking out, went to see why and this big momma about the size of a dinner plate was just wandering through the swiftly-parting crowd.
