Other than this place, I couldn't really think of anywhere else to ask. I just relocated to the Kansas City area, in the market for a house. What I'm unsure of though is where the best place in town is to go for mortgage rates. Usually credit unions have the best rates, but the ones around here I've looked at are all between 6 and 6.25 (same as the banks). As a background, you can assume that I'd have a very high credit score + 20% down on the house. Hopefully somebody from the Kansas City area can help me out, because trying to find a bank in an area you're unfamiliar with just isn't much fun--you don't know who you can trust.
