Vermont is a senior led team that has two true stars in Coppenrath and Sorrentine. They know who they are and what they can do since they've been playing together for so long. Syracuse has not been playing well for some stretches, and it was possible they would suffer a letdown after their Big East championship. Plus, Mcnamara was probably hung over from St. Patrick's day. Given the finality of the tournament, I gave the intangibles to Vermont.

They never played anyone on a neutral court. They were close to beating Kansas and UCLA on their home courts though.
