At this point, even if confirmed, there are very good grounds for continued investigation and impeachment if there are credible drugging and raping.

I’m trying to make the point that Dems oppose Kavanaugh on principle...this isn’t some smear game they’re playing to steal a seat (unlike McConnell in 2016.) I fully believe that Avenatti and whomever leaked Ford to the press may have their own separate agenda, but that does not align with Feinstein and Dems on the committee. All they had to do is vote “no” in committee and on the Senate floor and then they’ve done their job...all the power to confirm/not confirm lies with Republicans.

Kavanaugh has a lifetime appointment to a federal appeals court. This is not about removing him, not yet, anyway, but rather about preventing his advancement to the SCOTUS, an infinitely more powerful position than he now holds.
