So far Durbin was the best questioner by far. I'm hoping Kamala Harris will top his performance but I had high hopes for Whitehouse and he did terribly.

If you want a legit chance of winning an election he is probably your best bet instead of putting up old-hags with baggage.
I'd probably vote for him for basically anything, if only based on his optics at these senate judiciary committees. Didn't he light into someone a few months back? I feel like I should remember who that was but it's been a bit 'busy' in politics lately.

Brett is that douchebag jock that was featured in so many eighties movies. Hopefully this story ends in a similar way as those movies.

My early prediction is that the Republicans vote this out of committee and to the floor for a vote sometime early next week. What happens on the floor is an open question. Maybe they make it, maybe they don't but their base needs to see them fighting for it regardless.

More broadly this is going to be expensive politically in November. The GOP is hemorrhaging female voters and this is going to substantially worsen that trend.

Booker got him to admit skis meant beers.

I thought one of Booker's questions was childish IMO - The one of "Do you drink on weekdays?"... That's not a yes or no question. That can be...
"Yes, I drink every now and then when it's a friday after work"
"Yes, I drink on weekdays that are national holidays that extend the weekend"
"Yes, I drink on weekdays - but only occasionally during summer months when school is out"

I don't want it to be so - but I'm placing a bet that the senate will end 50-50 with Pence breaking the tie.

It's possible. I think Murkowski is a no because of the Alaskan tribal issues more than anything else. Those are the votes that got her elected as a write in.

Given the fact that Kavanaugh keeps trailing off about his dumbass public servant routine, I'd probably tell him to just say yes or no as well. He's got a knack for wasting time.

Oh, also, props on Grassley basically just shutting down the whole 'Dem's leaked the shit and drug Ford through the mud!' routine.

Kavanaugh bullied him. Booker wouldn't let him.

Bah. This is not the tact to take, but I understand with the 5min limit there's not much she can do.

Heh. I did like the "some women". It clearly bothered him.

And catching him on not watching Ford is not a bad way to leave it.

Kamala knows what to ask him. It's straight to "why don't you want an FBI investigation"?

She should also ask about Mike Judge. That made him super uncomfortable last time.
