This is something else Democrats should add to the list of investigations if/when they take the House. If Republicans won't investigate it now before he's on the court Democrats should investigate it afterwards, along with all the other stuff he lied about. While they probably won't be able to get the votes to impeach him they can make every close ruling he's a part of illegitimate.
This is the problem with what the GOP has done here and why this damage will take decades to repair. Claims that this would have happened with any nominee are made in bad faith since we have Gorsuch in recent memory. Yes liberals don't like his views and he's going to rule conservatively but the very legitimacy of his confirmation and thus the court's decisions aren't called into question.
I still cannot believe how Kavanaugh decided to go in and spout wild conspiracy theories about the Clintons getting revenge or people getting revenge for the Clintons. I realize that conservative folks see that all the time on their news media, but are there no people left in America who are both conservative and who can see how nuts that is?
Incidentally abortions in the US have fallen well below the 1973 rate and continue to drop.
Really if conservatives wanted to end abortion they'd make birth control universally free but that's not what it's about.
Right, Democrats were going to give any nominee a hard time and try to dig up dirt about them. That's to be expected and both parties do it. What is unprecedented and deeply corrupt is that Democrats found not just one thing, but a ton of things, and Republicans have abused their powers of office to ensure those potential crimes are never investigated. I have exactly zero doubt that if the Democrats had nominated someone like Kavanaugh he would have been withdrawn or would be defeated.
If the Democrats take the House I think 2019-2020 is going to be insane on a level we have not yet seen. The sheer amount of corruption that's taken place over the last two years is without precedent in US history. There's going to be so, so, so much ugliness uncovered. Even worse, I am nearly certain that Republicans will respond to their corruption being uncovered by declaring the investigations illegitimate and some sort of attempt at a coup.
Where are the 100k pages of documents the Republicans have been hiding? This conspiracy crazed frat boy douchebag has no place on the supreme court.A ton of things with no witnesses? You don’t give a crap about any due processes. Your “friends” on this board already admit if. Your minority leader admitted it.
Everything could have even been further investigated, or you know, use the fucking six background checks already done by the FBI!
Spare me your frustration, and fake outrage. Whip up your own frenzy.
The Republican Party is really telling us who they are. Yesterday, Kavanaugh lied repeatedly

She released the letter after it was already outed and Ford herself says Feinstein respected her privacy. So by the ‘victim’s own judgment Feinstein did nothing wrong. Can you explain why your judgment is superior to that of the actual person involved?
So considering the people who outed Ford say they didn’t get the information from Feinstein or her office and Ford herself says what Feinstein did is fine it seems like you owe her an apology for smearing her.
What a load of shit. Once confirmed, the Republicans are never going to impeach their pet justice. They'll have him by the nads and use that leverage to extract any rulings they wish for. Kavanaugh is utterly compromised. The time to keep him off the court is now. There should be a paper trail for how the letter got leaked, if not that would mean that it was stolen or Ford(under oath)/Feinstein are lying. Regardless of this issue, Feinstein loses all credibility by holding the letter until the point she did. There is no defense for this action.
You know this but if Kavanaugh is guilty, it will be found out. This investigation should continue with all serious as requested by the Democrats. If he is guilty, he is removed from the Supreme Court. If they give up then it was probably just as it was described, "Political Theater." Any additional investigation pretty much guarantees he will not be a Supreme Court Justice. He shouldn't lose this opportunity based on weak allegations which points back to the validity of the Feinstein strategy to delay post mid-terms.
The actions of Feinstein should be investigated by the FBI.

The FBI only checks things it knows of at the time and there's no indication they knew of or investigated any of the sexual assault claims against Kavanaugh so no, we can't use those. Ford's accusation against Kavanaugh explicitly includes an eyewitness to the assault. Republicans refuse to subpoena him for testimony or have the FBI interview him for evidence. Gee, I wonder why that is.
I most certainly give a shit about due process but it's completely obvious that you don't give a shit about whether or not Kavanaugh committed these crimes because he's on your political sports team.
Yes it was, it was enough to turn the momentum of the hearing and probably get him on the Supreme Court.Yeh, but his opening statement was a real gem.
Of course there is a defense for this action, she was keeping a promise she made to her constituent about an issue that could potentially ruin her life.
He will not be removed from the Supreme Court regardless of what investigations find and you know it.
Kavanaugh should lose this opportunity for a shitload of other reasons besides this. He's lied to the Senate on multiple occasions, he apparently buys into crazed conspiracy theories, etc. He disqualified himself totally absent any of these larger claims.
On what grounds? What federal statute are you claiming was violated?
Where are the 100k pages? You want to be honest then tell your scumbag president to release the relevant documents. You want to honestly debate this? Let's do it, no partisan bullshit. Why didn't the Senate minority committee investigators, investigate the situation? Once any sort of credible evidence is found, the report it like they do all whistleblowers? Answer me those two questions, and I MIGHT be persuaded towards your opinion. From ALL details, read, and watched, it wasn't done because of "insert something here".
Don't you just hate it when reasonably minded centrists don't share your opinion? It's disgusting having another Trump on the Supreme Court. And he's going to get confirmed now that Sasse, Corker, and Flake have all come out in support of the ratfucker.

Did he? Who is going to tell them that? Especially when they won't listen to us.
Identity -> Egotistical Denial -> Delusion.
It is the human condition we face, in all its horrific glory.
Flake is a former Goldwater Institute party hack. He just happens to think Trump is gauche.not sure if this has been posted yet:
Jeff Flake of Arizona announced Friday morning that he would vote to confirm President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh
