Why would people do that? He’s super unpopular and this is just further dragging down republicans for the midterms. He seems to be a pretty awful choice, picked primarily because Trump thinks he will enable his corruption. Smart to keep fighting that.

After all elections have consequences and I think we all want the Democrats to knock this next one out of the park for the sake of the country.

I disagree on all of these points. All.

What I think is hilarious is that she is calling it bribery. If telling a politician you will fund a challenge to replace them in office if they vote in ways you don’t like is bribery I would love to know what she considers $10k a plate fundraising dinners with a bunch of rich people.
She’s beholden to her constituents though. Not random people who donate to a gofundme styled campaign. She has no obligation to them at all.

The real question is what do her constituents think and is she listening to them?

Uh, she wanted that, so it's incredibly rich that she's insinuating that the lesser people doing the same as the Kochs and the Mercers is bribery. Someone needs to ask her why she would vote for Kavanaugh, the super PAC man.

OMG, He possibly maybe did something bad when he was a teen in high school.

He probably pooped in his diapers when he was a baby. We can't have that on the court system.

This is just another delay tactic by the Democrats. LOL what a joke.

No, you're the joke. (and it aint the libs that be laughing at you).

I'm not diverting at all. I was only responding to your post about the girl making an OK sign that you claim is trolling.

jackstar7 said:
"It's fucked up that you support trolling in our national political processes."

I responded:
"And almost as fucked up as those supporting the protesters screaming in the balcony and interfering in our national political processes"
Funny that you didn't quote what I was responding to when I mentioned how fucked up it is to support trolling.

Not funny, actually, nor surprising, you bankrupt turd.

Kavanaugh being unpopular is an undeniable fact so you are disagreeing with reality now? Haha.

If you don’t want the Democrats to take at least one house of Congress extreme partisanship has driven you insane. We have a situation currently where it appears reasonably likely that the president has engaged in significant criminal activity. Mueller can investigate Trump but the only people who can actually conduct oversight of Trump who he can’t fire are Congress and Republicans have refused to perform their constitutional duties here.

‘Is the president a criminal?’ is a question we should all want answered and Congressional Republicans aren’t just not answering it, they are actively working to obstruct anyone who tries. That should be all any sane person should need to know to vote only for Democrats in Congress until this stops.

Put country before party for once and do the right thing.

What percentage of her regular donations do you think come from her constituents?

Should I just quote the entire thread for you? Go back and read it for yourself.

I would support mundane trolling ( which isn't against the law ) over disrupting a proceeding and breaking the law in the process.

Undeniable in whose world? Your opinion maybe and those on the left. If Kavanaugh was so deplorable how was he ever confirmed to the appeals court?

The Mueller probe is going on and I support allowing it to complete without interference from either party. If guilt is found then justice should be doled out IAW the law.

So far Trump has not been found guilty of anything. He may be in the future, and if so he should be held accountable. Not before though.

You know you can be arrested without having broken a law, right?

You know that's a thing, yes?

I think things like this only serve to undermine legitimate criticisms of this nominee. An allegation from 35 years ago, really?
Put together with his coaching of girls, it's not a great look.

And they sure held that up as some kind of qualification for the job.

Don’t know. Don’t really care. If she’s adhering to the will of the people who will be voting for her that is all that should matter.

Her approval ratings took a massive hit last month. From 56% to 35% and it seems to be related to the SCOTUS nomination. The side that is causing that hit is the one that will win her vote, regardless of this funding drive.

Undeniable in every world. There are many polls about Kavanaugh and he has support somewhere in the 30’s.

He likely can’t be found guilty, he’s the president. Republicans in Congress are actively working to obstruct the probe you say you want completed and no matter what, in the end if they find wrongdoing it will be up to Congress to act.

In addition, there looks to be an enormous amount of corruption going on in areas the probe doesn’t touch. For example we have people who hold no government position and who pay Trump hundreds of thousands of dollars influencing VA policy from the shadows. What do republicans do in response to this? Nothing, they enable it.

Country first. Party second. You don’t even have to worry about legislation you don’t like being passed. All you’ll get is desperately needed accountability.

If there was anything there I would have expected it to surface before now. It's just too convenient to have it surface now, and it reeks of desperation, really. Maybe the guy is too conservative or whatever, but this is not going to do anything but damage the opposition's credibility in many eyes.

This needs to be outstandingly bad. "Nice tits" sort of thing? No, that's not making it. Edit this is if when a high school kid. Obviously a different standard applies to adults

Yes, I understand that people are at times illegally arrested. It happens everywhere for many different reasons, but not usually in groups of 70 or more. So what?

You said: "Except they weren't a problem. They were participating and were allowed to do so under the 1A AND the chair of the committee acknowledged it."

No, they were not allowed to continue disrupting and disturbing the peace. They were arrested and removed from the proceedings as they should have been.

I do not know if the charges were dropped later or not. They probably were.

I think it is transparently obvious that she does not do that in plenty of cases so why should that matter here?

How popular was the tax cut in Maine? She voted for it.

Want to take any bets that she votes to confirm Kavanaugh despite the apparent will of her people?

Both the process & the nominee reek of radical right wing partisanship. It was the same with Gorsuch. I'm confident that the GOP could nominate conservative jurists who could pass the traditional 60 vote hurdle. But they won't, of course, showing us just how radical they have become.

How do the two Trump picks not pass? Or rather... how would anyone else pass?

I'm looking to understand the contrast you speak of.

Are you disputing the facts presented? If so, which ones?

All of them. I saw nothing from an unbiased source to back up the claims, just your opinions. You are well known for presenting your opinion as self proclaimed "undeniable facts".

The Judge Kavanaugh was just fine while serving on the appellate court that oversees many many more cases. Then after he was nominated for a SCOTUS position he became enemy #1 of the United States and the American people.
It is obvious where the problem is and it isn't Judge Kavanaugh.

LOL
