As is being currently reported:
"Simply put," attorney Howard Walsh said, "Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford."

Keyser has no recollection of being at a party with Kavanaugh present, which is problematic if Dr. Ford recalls Keyser being at the party when the assault occurred.

Dr. Ford identitifed who was at the party. If none of the identified eyewitnesses are able to verify that the party even happened, what then?
I wonder if someone traumatized by an event is more likely to remember that event than someone who didn't have a similar experience.

Really makes you think.

And since it needs to be repeatedly pointed out, not remembering is not a denial.

The woman in question Any Chua denied she coached women on how to appeal to Kavanaugh's desire to have clerks who look like models.
Looks like Yale students are calling out Amy for lying. More evidence Kavanaugh ain't the reformed choir boy people are claiming

Yale Students To Prof Who Denies Coaching Kavanaugh Clerks: You’re Lying

I wouldn't make too much out of that. Amy Chua figures out that Kavanaugh has a soft spot for women with a certain look & coaches her students to play into it...

Men. She knows men can be stupid like that...

I didn't know being hot was a qualification for law clerk. Especially a reformed choir boy. I would think ugly girls have a discrimination case.

Sounds like objectification. I bet more and more stuff comes out.

BTW - If its not a big deal why did Amy Chua deny it and then students chimed in and said Amy is lying?

Why not? They tried to get a pedophile into the Senate. These people don't care.

How much did you care about a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee considering Kavanaugh's nomination who bragged about a sexual assault as a young man? How outraged were you over that? Hypocrite.

It was stupid of Chua to comment at all.

this is fake news. Of the 4 "witnesses" (weird to call Kavanaugh, the accused himself, a witness, but OK), Judge refuses to testify. Kavanaugh is already a proven liar. And the third witness believes Ford is telling the truth. I'm not sure about the 4th.

So really it's 2 vs 1 in favor of Ford in terms of people willing to testify. Not looking good for Kavanaugh at all.

So much stupidity. It's no wonder the democrats are getting away with this shitshow.

Witness #1 Keyser
"Simply put, Ms. Keyser does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and she has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with, or without, Dr. Ford,"

Witness #2 Judge
"I have no memory of this alleged incident," Judge states in the letter sent by his lawyer, Barbara Van Gelder.
"Brett Kavanaugh and I were friends in high school but I do not recall the party described in Dr. Ford's letter. More to the point, I never saw Brett act in the manner Dr. Ford describes."

Witness #3 Smyth
Smyth said he wrote “to make it clear to all involved that I have no knowledge of the party in question; nor do I have any knowledge of the allegations of improper conduct she has leveled against Brett Kavanaugh.”

Smyth then added: “Personally speaking, I have known Brett Kavanaugh since high school and I know him to be a person of great integrity, a great friend, and I have never witnessed any improper conduct by Brett Kavanaugh towards women.”

Witness #4 Kavanaugh
"This is a completely false allegation. I have never done anything like what the accuser describes — to her or to anyone. Because this never happened, I had no idea who was making this accusation until she identified herself yesterday. I am willing to talk to the Senate Judiciary Committee in any way the Committee deems appropriate to refute this false allegation, from 36 years ago, and defend my integrity."

Who would that be?

Cory Booker took advantage of a drunk girl by reaching his "mark" as he wrote:

As we fumbled upon the bed... I slowly reached for her breast. After having my hand pushed away once, I reached my 'mark.' Our groping ended soon and while no 'relationship' ensued, a friendship did.

'The next week in school she told me that she was drunk that night and didn't really know what she was doing. While she liked me a lot, she said she just wanted to be friends.'

But it's okay to crucify a man over an alleged event 36 years ago that no one else remembers happening right? And since when did the left ever care that someone apologized and said they've changed?

Suck it up buttercup.

The playbook here is disgusting. A man is guilty until proven innocent. Three witnesses tell you to !@#$ off. But you don't care, he's still guilty. With ZERO evidence.

When has evidence mattered to republicans. Get over it. I'm simply done with republicans faux outrage and trying to hold their opponents to a standard they can't adhere to themselves. And hopefully more Democrats get a clue.

I think the hearing will go about as expected unless she brings in some kind of surprise, like a photo of the judge at the party or some other evidence. She will be politely questioned and lightly patted on the head and the nomination will skate through.

Simply put 3rd parties don't remember all things that happened in high school.

Hate to use my own example but I had a high school reunion recently and I didn't want to talk with 1 asshole that hit me in the head with a baseball bat while I was playing catcher. I needed stitches for that still have the bump.

But others at the reunion didn't even remember it.

I do.
Thanks for the explanation, i'd wondered.

Exactly this and all said under felony penalty of perjury if they lied.

Drudge seems to think that Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer have a new Kavanaugh story coming soon.

I mean, if it has really come down to this - Republicans should just start a "covert ops" team that recruits people for accusations. Get them lined up and ready to go now, for who ever steps out for the DNC nomination in 2020. Wait til September, then let it rip. If accusations are all that matter, got plenty of mud to sling around.

What an easy way to win office. Spend a billion dollars on a campaign, or just let anarchy reign over the mob? If I wanted power, I know what I'd choose.

So in other words realistically absolutely zero threat of felony perjury (with a conceivable exception involving Kavanaugh) with the or the technical exception of Mark Judge given it would be essentially impossible to conclusively prove they simply didn't legitimately remember? (Who in the case of Judge realistically still does not have to worry about criminal charges given what he has said since he easily claim he was just blackout drunk memory wise if somehow it turns out it could be definitively proved that the events Ford claimed happened and he was in the room at the time.)

It should be noted one of those witnesses has gone on record as stating that despite her memory limitations over 30 years later regarding what she thought was a non-eventful party at the time, she believes the attempt rape did happen at the time.

Trying to equate those two events is exceptionally stupid.
