You're right, I'm not stupid, so maybe you should think this through.

1) The claim that there is no evidence beyond the accusations is false.
2) There are many avenues the FBI could take to determine the credibility of these accusations but Republicans are refusing to allow them to.
3) There is absolutely no need to fill this SCOTUS seat until the credibility of these accusations is established so there's no downside to waiting. The only reason you don't want to wait is because you think it's politically disadvantagous. ie: you're putting party before country.

Country first, country first, country first. You're an AMERICAN, not a REPUBLICAN.

I would say this hearing has been an excellent argument for Kavanaugh's impeachment in his current position. The idea that anyone would want him on the Supreme Court after this is baffling. (well, not actually baffling, just partisanship)

What if the FBI investigation revealed that Ford got a shitload of money from some Democratic conspiratorial actors? This isn't just to determine if Kavanaugh is a lying rapist.

To be clear, right now, as of today, someone has committed a felony. Either Kavanaugh sexually assaulted someone and lied under oath to Congress, or Ford lied under oath to Congress. If anything, an FBI investigation should be desired if only to protect our nation's highest judges from scandalous claims against them, regardless of partisanship.
