Kazaa Lite is working great for me! Sure beats Morpheus PE.

I am also loving the Supertrick. I never knew about the Hosts file before now.

I can't get Kazaa to work. Gets stuck on "connecting". Any trick to using a router with Kazaa?

Dood, mine does that frequently ... I just close it completely (including the system tray) and then restart it. I have found it always works the second time, rarely the first time.

It worked for me out of the box, so to speak, with my Linksys router. Just connected right up, no hassles.

To all that have used other 'top name' file sharing programs:

Before installing KaZaa Lite, make sure to run a program like Ad-Aware (google.com and search for it). This will delete any and all spy ware that was installed with your previous programs.

also, what is spy-ware? I ran ad-ware the other night and it found two files but they were just cookies ...

As far as the slow speeds go, I usually right click and tell it to find more sources if my transfer rates are low.

Since all spyware experts are gathering in same thread, I have a quick question to ask. How do I get rid of lop.com spyware? It took over my IE default search engine and use their own. It looks bad, when I open the search engine at work and it shows some porno search. The only solution I got right now is use PopUp Killer.

if you must use mozilla, stick with www.mozilla.org and get netscape without the bloat. AIM and winamp installed with a web browser? come on! Even M$ doesn't do that with IE, sheesh...

I second that. The Netscape browser is just the Mozilla browser with a lot of other commercial crap you don't need, can get on your own, or already have. I like Mozilla because you can prevent all those auto-loading pop-up ads while still being able to click on links that lead to legitimate pop-ups. IE is still my main browser though.
