KaZaa Lite - neutered version of KaZaa with installer (no spyware or ad-ware)

If you have a problem when installing asking for Disk 2, download the KaZaA Lite EXE file again. It explains that problem on their website. I encountered the same problem after the first download, but it was fine after I downloaded it a second time.

BTW, I am not sure if all of you know about this, but there is a nifty small program called netstat that will show you all your current open connections.
This is a great way to troubleshoot if you suspect spyware at work.
To run it simply type netstat in the Start\Run of your windows.

Another great little program is called ipconfig. It would allow you to drop your connection, renew it and flush those bulky DNS caches. No need to restart the computer as somebody suggested earlier.
To see the complete details on it simply type "ipconfig /?"

Nice idea...

But I did the install without the reg hack.

I did the host file cut & paste.

I have been trying to connect to the site for an hour now.....no good.

Nice idea....just a waste until I can actually do something.

I'll keep trying for a day or two untill I remove this.

ahhh, awesome find! I just installed it (and did the hosts fix too), and when I connected, the available files amounted to approximately 1.23 petabytes! ah I love it!

no it doesn't. I tried for days with win2000 and couldn't figure it out for the life of me. XP works great.

You really saved my life.

My morpheus download tray had about 500 files on it waiting for DL on a dialup connection. Then they hacked gnucleus apart and pasted their ads and brand-name everywhere, and it really ruined my day. Now, as of next week, I have cable internet, and now I have all the bandwidth I need.

On a sidenote, the server this is on REALLY sucks. I tried on my humble 56k to download either file at least 20 times before I finally reached the magic 1.50meg mark. Took me an hour. Could someone PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

I was getting soooo tired of editing the files/scripts in the C:/..../System32/AdCache files to blank them out. Could never get the damned things to stay blanked, now I don't have to mess with it anymore! You DA MAN, souja!
